Our Policies

Check-in is at 3pm and check-out is at 11am.


Smoking of any kind, which includes medical marijuana and vaping, is strictly prohibited in all areas of the Hotels property including the fire escape and balcony in the back, with a $250.00 fine applied for smoking in any of the rooms.


We provide parking for all of our guests for a low nominal fee of $8 per night. If your pass is not returned upon check-out, we will have to charge the price of the replacement for the parking pass.


All pets are prohibited on property. Service animals are allowed with proper documentation. Out of respect for our other guests, all other pets are prohibited on property, with a $250 fine applied to the bill if a pet is discovered. 


The ‘Reservation Name’ and credit card imprinted name must match. A physical swipe of the credit card must take place on property, with card holder present. Any discrepancies with funds or name match is subject to cancellation at hotel discretion without notice.

Hotel Royal will charge the credit card on file for the entire cost of the reservation at the time of booking. At check-in, a $150 hold will be placed on your payment method through your departure date in the case that theft/damage of Hotel Royal property occurs, such as door keys, towels, pillows, bed linens, hotel furnishings, etc. This hold is required to cover any incidents, is released upon check-out, and may take 4-15 business days to process. 


All hotel room reservations have a 72-hour cancellation policy unless otherwise noted. Any changes on packages or rates to your reservation must be done 72 hours prior to your arrival date. Reservations that are not canceled within 72 hours are subject to a charge of one night's stay plus tax. Any Refund due back to your debited account may take 4-15 business days to process, depending on your financial institution.


Guests must be 18 years or older to check in without a parent or legal guardian.


Hotel Royal was originally built in 1923. The hotel has since been preserved and has no first floor rooms or elevators to offer. After consulting experts on options, it has been determined that it is not readily achievable and it is not technically feasible to make the hotel accessible to those potential patrons requiring wheelchairs. We can accommodate the hearing impaired and we will seek to accommodate other needs. Please call at 562-283-8755 for any special accommodations or to inquire further.

In order to prevent the spread of Covid 19, Hotel Royal is complying with all State and Local health measures. This includes minimizing staff and guest interactions by suspending breakfast, conference, and bike service. We apologize for any inconvenience and have reduced prices by 35% to reflect this change.
